  • Among Aretha aficionados, Amazing Grace has long been considered one of her high-water marks, since it captured her glorious return to her gospel roots in front of a live audience. The original 1972 album contained just 14 tracks, culled from two live performances with the Southern California Community Choir, Ken Lupper, and the Rev. James Cleveland at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church.
  • Editors' Notes If you’re only planning on listening to one gospel record, make it this. Released after almost two decades of performance, Amazing Grace revisits Tennessee native Aretha Franklin’s musical roots in full, empowering splendour.
  • Amazing Grace: The Complete Recordings Aretha’s awe-inspiring (and Grammy-winning) 1972 gospel album ascended to 7 on the pop album charts and featured legendary performances of How I Got Over; You’ve Got a Friend, and her charting rendition of Wholy Holy.
  • Amazing Grace: The Complete Recordings Recorded before a live audience at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Although just 14 tracks were released on the orginal album, this recording includes 29 tracks. So if you think you’ve heard the session before, you are about to be doubly rewarded for your patience.
